Characters Name: Kanaria
Age: At least a century year old
Canon: Rozen Maiden
Canon Point: post tale 26
Species: Doll
Gender: Female, both mentally and physically.
Orientation: Aromantic asexual. Canonically, Kanaria's sister has a crush on a male human so it's not a stretch for any of the dolls to have such feelings, but as far as canon reveals that she has no particular romantic inclination towards anyone.
History:
Brief summary here and volume summaries here.
Appearance:
The cutest of the dolls, or so she likes to believe. Canon states that a Rozen Maiden has skin that is soft and human-like, underneath the clothes however, they have typical anatomy of a ball jointed type doll. It more or less look like this. Also, as a sigh that she is a bonafide Rozen Maiden, Rozen's signature and her series number are etched on her inner right thigh.
Personality:
Kanaria is the 2nd doll created by Rozen in order to become the perfect daughter, Alice. Kanaria is also serves as a stark contrast to the first doll Suigintou, whom appears to be aloof and rather mean-spirited, Kanaria is far more childlike and eccentric. These eccentric tendencies can be first point out of her rather ironic speech habit. You see, Kanaria is a prideful person of her abilities, she's quite sure and confident that she's the smartest and most skilled out of the seven maidens- the thing is, she has a habit of peppering her sentences with 'perhaps', 'I wonder' or 'maybe', making her sound less sure of herself despite how much self-confidence she holds. She is also rather displease when someone points this out to her as well.
Despite her front, she isn't really entirely different from Suigintou. While she approach things in a more childlike way, Shinku remarks that she and Suigintou are the most eager participants in the Alice Game and aren't interested in anything except for the outcome. She's goal oriented, and rather known for her stubbornness among her sisters, which is a feat considering quite the majority of them have stubborn as a trait. Not only that, she's also terrifyingly competent in battle and quite strong when the kiddy gloves are off, a thing that even Suigintou acknowledges to certain extent. If it weren't for eccentric ways, such as making outlandish 'plans' that never work or thinking herself as a brilliant strategist, she could be considered as dangerous as Suigintou.
So yeah, she gives off the impression that she's quite the airhead. Especially given that she also gets distracted at least once or twice just to engage childish rivalry among her sisters, especially to Hinaichigo.
Interesting enough, the seventh doll, Kirakishou points out that 'tenderness' as Kanaria's main trait of all things. Though, as it is hard to believe, it's quite true though. As stated above, Kanaria is quite a goal oriented person and is a rather eager participant in a 'game' where she has to fight and take her sisters' lives, but she did grew to care people. Kanaria is actually rather considerate of people. One of the biggest examples would be with her medium Micchan, whom she practically loves beyond the basic idea of medium and doll, and the person she's willing to grin and bear for. Not only that, but she had also assisted Jun, the fifth doll's medium, during the time they were trapped in the N-Field rather than simply leaving to fend on his own. Really though, she does actually care for her sisters just like they care for her, the quiet moments she had were the moments she absolutely enjoyed. She cared for them quite a lot, she was willing to put her trust on her sisters when she realize that the others weren't as interested in the Alice Game. It's just that in the end, the Alice Game is still going on. It's business and like the others, she desires Father's love, she's practically willing to do anything for him.
That's also another thing, Kanaria's loyalty is rather strong. Once she creates a strong bond with someone, she will try to help them as best as she could. she will pull off the gloves and lash out when someone hurts them, anything to protect those she cares about. When Kirakishou had taken Micchan right in front of her eyes, Kanaria loses all her rationality and attacks without holding back out upon the seventh doll sending her minions to attack her and Suigintou. Before that, she left her sisters and Tomoe just so she could find a way to get where Kirakishou held Micchan hostage. It doesn't just go for humans, despite the childish rivalry she had with her younger sister Hinaichigo, she was genuinely willing to go all out on Shinku when she thought the fifth doll had taken Hinaichigo's Rosa Mystica. Not exactly the most noble moment of her, but it shows that she could have possibly take Hinaichigo's Rosa Mystica because Kanaria didn't find Shinku deserves it. She's willing to do go great lengths for someone she cares for, to the point where it seems that she would do something impulsive even for her usual standards.
However, her own loyalty can be a great weakness of it's own. Yes, Kanaria is considerate of people and would willing to go huge lengths for them. But her rationality gets thrown out the window one too many times that it's considerably dangerous. Yes, she did try to protect Hinaichigo and later Micchan, but at the cost, she attacked her ally and left them on both respective instance. It's a good trait to care for those she loves, but it also considerably a foolish one where her own judgement gets blinded. In fact, this could also be taken all back when she only has Father and the Alice Game in mind, not caring that not all of her sisters are willing participants or that she is technically willing to take the lives of others just to satisfy her desires.
She doesn't seem to realize that she had mostly changed however. Because, again, she wasn't interested in anything outside of the Alice Game, she had not realize that she had learned and grow over time. Kanaria thinks she's the same as before, one of Father's daughters destined to fight another so the ultimate girl could be born. She had not realize that her bond with Micchan had become almost akin to what she wish she could have with her creator, she had not fully appreciate that she could enjoy the quiet moments with her sisters without the Alice Game ringing over her head. This is mostly goes back to her stubbornness, but is an interesting note how she could be rather oblivious to her own change. Especially, considering the beginning before Kirakishou had taken action and 'ate' Hinaichigo's body, she could let the Alice Game slide away from her mind and played with her sisters.
Being a doll, Kanaria's perception of the world is quite different from a human's. She knows that humans have structures of their own, but she will likely never understand them completely. Technology and other modern convenience are also another thing, she was rather please with herself in asking Jun if he had plugged on his computer before he had pointed out it was a common, if rather idiotic, mistake people tend to do. Not only that, but she was, like any other of the dolls, extremely enthralled by 'Detective Kun-Kun'. A puppet show for kids. Likewise, the perception of things more complex such as the concept of time and mortality are also somewhat different for her. She's aware that the human lifespan is short, and that once they have died, they will not come back to life. Unlike a human however, Maidens seems to have an understanding to normal dolls and aware that, even if the doll could be fix, it could never 'return' to it's body as easy. Strangely, or perhaps because of it, Kanaria tends to forget that she too could technically 'die' should someone one day forget to wind her back to life or if that one day her body could crumble. Rozen Maidens may be nigh invulnerable, but they're certainly not indestructible. Kanaria would mourn and be sad when someone that is dear to her dies, but she does not fear for her own time, because she knows she is born to fight even when she isn't in the Alice Game. She fights to protect, and she fights because she's at least subconsciously aware that she could be reckless for the sake of others.
Abilities:
Being a Rozen Maiden, Kanaria is a doll that is almost nearly akin to a tiny, little girl. She has soft skin, is able to do things such as eat and sleep and expression emotions; however she is still a doll, as her ball joints are obvious as day once you take off her clothes.
Normally, a Maiden is almost nigh invulnerable, they can't be destroyed easily and can take heavy hits with ease. However, when put out of their animated state, they could be easily taken apart, although their parts remain pretty much indestructible. The way to put them out of their animated state is to take their Rosa Mystica. Likewise, if a doll possess more than one Rosa Mystica, they become more powerful. If a maiden manages to absorb all other six Rosa Mysticas, they become the perfect girl, Alice. If a doll that is not a Rozen Maiden absorbs these artificial spirits, they will be quick to be destroyed due to how overwhelming the actual powers are in these spirits.
Of course another thing about these artificial spirits is that they require a source of energy, which comes from humans. A doll creates a contract with a human to absorb their energy. This isn't an immediate effect, though they will be taken once the doll fully uses their power to its potential. The consequences of using these powers too much is completely draining their master and therefor killing the human in process.
Kanaria's artificial spirit is called Pizzicato, with her artificial spirit she can transform the parasol she uses to fly into a violin. But that's not all, her ability is that when she plays a particular tune, she can create different gusts of wind. It shows that she's a rather competent fighter, using her wind attacks, she manage to destroy Kirakishou's illusions and therefor meeting up with the other dolls.

It's been roughly about seven days since she had arrived at this peculiar place. To what she understand, it's... a very harmless place, to say the least. Still, it doesn't cut it how she had been stripped away from her very identity, not body nor soul had felt right. It was awkward too, adjusting how this new body of hers was more fragile and high maintenance. Humiliating! It was all just humiliating!
Still, it was still better the body than the particular role she was picked into in this playing house. She might be a doll, but she wasn't the type to play house. Kanaria huffed at how absurd her whole predicament was, she didn't pay careful mind to the egg she was trying to crack at all. As one would predict, the egg shell practically exploded upon impact and the yolk splattered all over the kitchen counter. In a manner that could only be fit to one who lived centuries long as her, she screamed in frustration as she ran to grab her lover who probably knew better about breaking eggs, or cooking altogether.
